Day 1

Arrival in France, wine tasting of the Medoc, dinner at the Bordeaux restaurant.

The capital of Aquitaine, the magnificent Bordeaux, is one of the ten largest and most beautiful cities in France. In addition, no other French city (with the exception of Paris) has so many buildings that are protected architectural monuments. This is where our journey begins.

Medok Wines

We leave for the winery located on the border of Bordeaux and Medoc. One of the oldest wineries in the region is waiting for you. A fifteenth-century winery with its wine cellars. You will enjoy tasting three amazing wines (red, white and pink) with appetizers of cold cuts, cheeses and fresh bread. This combination of "food and wine" allows you to better discover these wines. In the evening, we will go to a welcome dinner at one of the best restaurants in the city.

Day 2

A tour of Bordeaux, a visit to the oyster capital of Arcachon and the legendary dune of Pila.

Our day starts with a sightseeing tour of Bordeaux. We will see the majestic Cathedral of Saint André, where many French kings were married, the Basilica of Saint-Michel, built in the flaming Gothic style, the neoclassical building of the Bolshoi Theater, luxurious mansions on the embankment, the owner of one of which was the famous Cardinal Richelieu, the Rohan Palace. You will also see the building of the Stock Exchange, on the square in front of which there is a unique fountain "Water Mirror", the main pier of the city, known by the romantic name "Port of the Moon" and much more.

Arcachon

After the tour of Bordeaux, transfer to Arcachon, the oyster capital of France. The city is comfortably located on the southern tip of the bay of the same name. During the tour, you will be able to walk around Arcachon and see one of the natural phenomena located near Arcachon – the highest sand dune in Europe – la Dune du Pilat. Dune was drinking. Those who wish will be able to climb it.

Day 3

Getting to know Bayonne and Biarritz - the pearls of the French part of the Basque Country.

Bayonne

Our day will begin with a sightseeing tour of Bayonne, the capital of the French Basque Country, known for its festive atmosphere and especially wonderful architectural heritage. Closely adjacent to each other, its rather tall houses with bright shutters form many of the most typical. It's nice to have the opportunity to stroll along its embankments or old streets, contemplating the beautiful half-timbered facades that alternate along the route. Bayonne is famous for its chocolate and we will definitely have to try it with you.

Biarritz

Next, we will go on an excursion to Biarritz — one of the most famous resorts on the Atlantic coast, attracts tourists with its mild climate, sea air saturated with iodine vapor, and the extraordinary beauty of the Atlantic Pyrenees. Biarritz is a classic resort with its own attractions. For example, the church of St. Eugenie is a bizarre mix of Byzantine and Moorish styles. The wonderful Russian writer Vasily Aksenov, who lived in Biarritz for a long time, often came here.

Day 4

Immerse yourself in Basque culture in the picturesque villages of Espelette and Sar.

Day 5

Walks along Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Pora and Saint-Jean-de-Luz, an excursion to the winery with "underwater wine" in Sibur.

Excursion to Saint-Jean-de-Luz — a pretty resort town, located on the shore of the Bay of Biscay, in the place where the Nivelle River flows into it. It belongs to the Bayonne district and, accordingly, to the French part of the Basque Country. This is evident in the urban architecture with red and white half-timbered houses, old streets and tiled roofs.

Next, the way lies to Sibur, which is located directly opposite Saint-Jean-de-Luz. Sibur seems to be an extension of Saint-Jean but is actually a separate commune ending in the small fortress of Sokoa. Let's go to one of the unique wineries in the world. For several years, a winemaker from Fitou in the Eastern Pyrenees immersed bottles together with a neighboring oyster farmer in water — a winery with underwater wine.

On a beautiful road along the ocean, we head to Ondarribia, a fishing town in the province of Gipuzkoa, in the Basque Country of Spain. It stands almost on the very border with France and is rightfully proud of the fact that only here in the whole province the medieval fortified walls have been preserved — this is one of the local attractions. In his travel book The Pyrenees, Victor Hugo described Ondarribia as follows: "the silhouette of a city of gold with a sharp bell tower, deep in a blue bay, surrounded by vast expanses." Tourists are attracted by the pleasant climate, the picturesque old quarter, and Basque cuisine — one of the most interesting in Spain.

Day 6
The charm of San Sebastian and Getaria

A tour of the charming San Sebastian, known as "Little Paris".

A walk through the picturesque port town of Getaria, one of the gems of Basque culture.

Getting to know the local fishing traditions and the rich cuisine of the region.

Day 8:
Wine traditions of Logrogno and Zaragoza

Logrono is the capital of the La Rioja autonomy. Of course, the surroundings of the city are characterized by a wonderful climate and beautiful landscapes. And on the streets of ancient Logrono you can see interesting architectural sights, although the turbulent history has preserved only a small part of the ancient buildings. La Rioja wines are the best in Spain and are known all over the world.

Zaragoza

The capital of the province of the same name and the autonomous region of Aragon in Spain. The city with a rich history has preserved in its appearance the features of the cultures of all the peoples who previously lived in it. Here you can see echoes of the Roman, Christian, Arab and Jewish periods of the history of Zaragoza. Ancient walls, Moorish palaces, Baroque temples give a special charm to this ancient city.

Day 9:
Farewell to Madrid

Madrid is the cultural capital of Spain and the largest city in the country in terms of population. It is a very influential millionaire city in Spain, which plays an important role in the political, economic and cultural life of the country. The name of Madrid comes from the Arabic "machra" (water) and "it" (abundance) and means "source of full waters". It is located slightly northeast of the geographical center of the Iberian Peninsula at the foot of the Sierra de Guadarrama mountain range on the banks of the small Manzanares River.
